Congratulations! The Winston Churchill High School Cheerleading Team after they won 1st Place in the MCPS Division I Cheer Competition at Blair High School on Saturday, November 12! Congratulations! The Girls’ Field Hockey Team organized a Pink Homecoming fundraiser on Saturday, October 15. Proceeds from the bake sale and several cash donations raised $327 for the national Foundation for Cancer Research. Field Hockey moms Ellen Lescht, Sue Werber, Cindy Beauregard and Katherine Dodson were among the volunteers helping with the event. All Pink Homecoming activities during the week were co-supported by WCHS and the Winston Churchill High School Booster Club. The Boys' JV soccer team laced up with pink ribbons, played with a regulation pink ball and raised $175 with a pink raffle to support Pink Homecoming activities during the 2011 Homecoming Week. The pink activities were co-supported by WCHS and the Churchill Booster Club. The Booster Club honored nearly 50 Varsity & JV Fall Sport Captains at a a luncheon in October. Girls’ Varsity Tennis is treated to a pizza party for being the first fall team to attain 100% membership in the Booster Club.
